account
Any accounts set up at the bar must be paid for in advance.
No credit accounts will be given. Settlement of all accounts
must be made on the day.
Final Numbers
Final numbers for any function must be confirmed in writing,
or by email, at least one month prior to the function date.
Blakewood reserves the right to revise its quote at a higher
rate should the numbers fall below the original quote. If
actual numbers are less than that agreed one month before,
the higher number will be charged.
Corkage
Blakewood has a corkage charge on all beverages which the
customer chooses to bring themselves, £7 for wine and £9
for champagne.
Cancellation by Blakewood
Blakewood may cancel a booking without any liability being
incurred whatsoever if:-
The venue is closed down due to events and circumstances
beyond the control of Blakewood such as fire, staff dispute
or by order of the public authority.
The Customer becomes insolvent or enters into liquidation/receivership.
The Customer is in breach of any of the terms of this agreement.
Cancellation by the Customer
All cancellations must be made in writing to Blakewood,
Blackgate Lane, Pulborough RH20 1DD.
In the event of a booking being cancelled for whatever reason
the following charges will apply:-
Less than one month before the function date: 100% of total
booking price
Between one and three months before the function date: 75%
of the total booking price.
Between six and three months before the function date: 50%
of the total booking price.
Over 6 months before the function date: deposit retained.
We may waive these terms if the venue can be re-let at no
disadvantage to Blakewood. An administrative charge of £50
may be payable.
Prices
All the prices in the quote are current at the time of going
to print, and are inclusive of VAT and other government
taxes where appropriate. Blakewood reserves the right to
amend prices to take into account any changes in the rate
of VAT or other taxes.
Signage
The fixing of signs, displays, posters etc, may only be
carried out with the consent of the venue and no advertising,
public or otherwise, of any function at the venue may be
exhibited without prior permission from Blakewood.
Interest
Interest will be payable by the Customer on all sums due
calculated on a day to day basis rate equivalent to 2% per
calendar month from the due date of payment until the date
of actual payment. The interest is to be paid after, as
well as before, any judgement (such obligation to be an
independent obligation which shall not merge on the judgement.)
